Description

A fascinating journey through the history of Christianity, from its origins to the present day. This itinerary leads to the discovery of the most important basilicas and the most famous places of worship and spirituality.

We will begin our journey from St. Peter’s Basilica, where you can admire masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s Pietà, Bernini’s Baldachin and the majestic Dome of St. Peter’s, which offers a spectacular view of the city.

We will then continue towards the Church of Santa Cecilia, located in the heart of Trastevere and dedicated to Santa Cecilia, patron saint of music, and then head towards the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, one of the most evocative places in Rome, famous for the Easter candelabrum and the medallions with the portraits of all the popes.

We will then continue by visiting the Basilica of St. John Lateran, considered the “Mother of all Churches” with its medieval cloister and the Holy Stairs, which according to tradition were climbed by Jesus before the crucifixion.

The tour will then pass through the Basilica of San Clemente al Laterano, located near the Colosseum and famous for its structure on three overlapping levels, which testify to the evolution of Rome from the pagan to the Christian period. We will then visit San Pietro in Vincoli, famous for hosting Michelangelo’s Moses inside and we will end the tour at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, one of the four papal basilicas and the largest dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
